Thailand

The only thing wrong with two weeks in Thailand is it’s not four or six. Or a year for that matter. What a glorious place for food, weather and general lifestyle. Makes sense it’s such a massive tourist destination.

We flew into Bangkok from Indonesia and spent a few days here eating street food and visiting markets. We did one of those tuk-tuk food tours which I would highly recommend. Not only is the food tight, but you get to go out in the kitchens and see stuff you wouldn’t normally. V cool. We also got shit faced on Khao San Road one night (me more so than Ally) where I ate the obligatory giant scorpion. It was actually fine.

We then headed North to Chiang Mai, which might be the most livable city I’ve ever visited in Asia. It’s cheap, with lots of cafés and fast wifi. It’s a big remote working hub and local businesses encourage that. It’s also a lot less busy than other cities in this part of the world.

We ended the trip in Koh Samui, where we had an amazing Airbnb rented (see infinity pool below). We did very little touristing here. We mainly chilled by the pool or on the beach for 6-7 days before we flew to Singapore to meet friends.
